Lodz University of Technology also achieved very good results in areas related to engineering and technology. In the global ranking, it was placed, among others, 200th in Metallurgy Engineering, 498th in Energy & Fuels, 599th in Materials Engineering, and 620th in Mechanical Engineering.
Among Polish universities, Lodz University of Technology achieved high positions in several areas key to its profile: 6th place in Poland in Mathematical Sciences, 7th place in Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, and 8th place in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Technology.
Compared with the previous edition of the ranking, the University advanced in Mathematical Sciences, Medical and Health Sciences, Metallurgy Engineering, and Physical Sciences.
The URAP Field-Based Ranking is based on an analysis of universities’ scientific output, taking into account, among other factors, the number and quality of publications, citations, and the effects of international cooperation in particular research areas. As a result, the ranking is one of the world’s most recognised tools for assessing the scientific and research potential of higher education institutions.
