Lodz University of Technology is coordinating a project that aims to increase the level of interaction between students and lecturers and to strengthen student motivation during online learning. Our partners in these activities are universities from Germany, Spain and Portugal.
Food and nutrition technology is a very broad field, and research results improve the quality of life of all consumers. Dr Antolak, from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, specialises in the use of microorganisms in the production of fermented soft drinks. He also conducts research aimed at preventing their microbiological contamination. He is a holder of a scientific award of the Division IV of Technical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences for his doctoral dissertation "Bacteria Asaia spp. as a new contaminant of functional beverages" and 8 papers thematically related to this dissertation.

Aleksandra Wilczyńska studies at Lodz University of Technology, but her thoughts are often in outer space. She belongs to the Innspace team, which consists of students and graduates from various Polish universities. Their projects are appreciated by juries of international competitions. Recently Innspace team took 4th place in Moon Base Design Contest organized by Moon Society from USA.
Professor Jan Awrejcewicz was honoured with the highest academic degree. The title of doctor honoris causa was conferred on the outstanding scientist from Lodz University of Technology by the Prydniprovsky State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (PSACEA).
Dr Zywilla Fechner from the Institute of Mathematics at TUL received the 2020 Award of the Polish Women in Mathematics Society (PTKM). Her series of publications on long-term research on problems derived from hypergroup theory was appreciated.

Lodz University of Technology has once again prepared worksheets for the secondary school final Matura exam in science subjects. By filling them in online, students can test their knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry. A English language test is also available, which is a new addition to this year's offer.
In this way, the university wants to help candidates assess their preparation at a time when learning in schools is done online and the final Matura exams are just around the corner...
