Dr hab. inż. Joanna Pietrasik and dr hab. Radosław Podsiadły have been awarded the title of professor of exact and natural sciences in the discipline of Chemical Sciences. Both researchers work at the Institute of Polymers and Dyes at the Faculty of Chemistry.
The decision on conferring the title on the TUL scientists was made by Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland, on February 29.
The following considerations are an attempt to define the problem of digital publications and their role in the process of research evaluation. They also provide an opportunity to present the results of the 3rd National Conference on Scientific Publishing hosted by CRASP. The central theme of the event conducted in a hybrid mode were the challenges posed by the developments in artificial intelligence.

Dr. Eng. Marcin Cichy from the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Lodz University of Technology received the first prize in the 15th competition of the Committee of Organization and Management Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the best scientific work 2021-2022, in the doctoral theses category.

Professor Piotr Sankowski of the University of Warsaw, an accomplished computer scientist and winner of prestigious ERC grants, was one of the featured guests during the Science and Project Day, one of the events of the Research Week. In an interview with Życie Uczelni, he talked about the research on artificial intelligence conducted at IDEAS NCBR, of which he is President, and the importance of promoting and communicating research outputs.
The Faculty of Organization and Management (OiZ), in its capacity as a partner in the project Industry Skills Center for Logistics in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, will be involved in an endeavor, whose budget is 12 million złoty, intended to introduce a new institution into the ecosystem of education. Its official launch is scheduled for January 2025.

Lodz University of Technology students are the second largest group of participants in the micromodules and challenges offered by the ECIU consortium of universities, according to ECIU data. Maciej Szulczewski, a Mechanical Engineering student at IFE, is one of ECIU's ambassadors.
On the first day of Research Week, even before the opening ceremony, there was a session related to the presentation of the work of students who carried out research projects in the last year under the special E2TOP program. This is a new program created at Lodz University of Technology for talented students, but also for ambitious and enthusiastic academics.
At an age when many would only think about a well-earned rest and relaxation, dr Stanisław Pruś opted for a radically different path, one that is anything but ordinary, and one that would certainly frighten many younger and aspiring researchers. After decades of work in the industry, he decided to return to the world of academia to test his hypotheses and theories that he had formed over many years of working with dyes.
