Over the last two years, Assoc. Prof. Eng. Robert Cichowicz, Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Engineering at TUL, has been analysing the air quality with the use of a specialised drone in various locations within the Lodz agglomeration, including: the A and B campus of Lodz University of Technology and the areas which may be affected by the Lodz Combined Heat and Power Plants EC-3 and EC-4. He explains the results of his research in an interview and presents them in the prepared video footage.

On Monday (14.06), Rector of Lodz University of Technology Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik was appointed to the Council for the Plan for Work and Development by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development, Labour and Technology Jarosław Gowin.

Lodz University of Technology celebrated the 76th anniversary of its foundation. The special session (24.05) of TUL Senate took place in the historic Sołtan Auditorium for the last time. There was a limited number of invited guests in the auditorium.

Nuclear power still raises many doubts, which is why the voice of experts is so important. Andrzej Gąsiorowski, M.Sc., a doctoral student at the Faculty of Chemistry, conducts research aimed at increasing safety of work with ionizing radiation. He is a graduate of Chemical Technology at TUL, he participated in NCN and NCBR projects. He is a scholarship holder of the Polish Society for Radiation Research. He took part in a training and internship trip to Spain in the field of nuclear energy, as well as in technical trips to the nuclear sector in France and Germany.

From October, first-year students at TUL will be able to apply for the new programme E²TOP - Excellence in Engineering Talents in Research with Opportunities Programme. Those qualified will receive additional scientific scholarships.

Lodz University of Technology is starting international cooperation with partners from France, Germany, Sweden and North Macedonia in order to jointly implement a two-year project entitled Building digital competencies of students and teachers in construction related degrees & incrEasing digitAl reaDiness of EU universities. The project coordinator at Lodz University of Technology is Assoc. Prof. Eng. Arch. Anetta Kępczyńska-Walczak from the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning.

Lodz University of Technology is a partner in a project whose aim is to implement an innovative technology for the production of kombucha, a drink with interesting taste and health-boosting properties.

The project, implemented under the Intelligent Development Operational Programme, has received over 8.5 million PLN in funding. Its leader is Fabryka Lemoniad FL Grupa Sp. z o.o.

Science, education and social responsibility - sustainability is growing in importance in each of these areas. Today's university must not only respond to its objectives, but also create them. Prof. Paweł Strumiłło, Vice-Rector for Development, talks about the challenges facing TUL.
