The results of the latest edition of Webometrics ranking were published. It took into account nearly 12 thousand higher education institutions, including nearly 400 Polish universities. Lodz University of Technology was classified on 1095th place in the world and 16th in Poland.

Each year, the Student Government at TUL holds a competition for the Best Teacher at Lodz University of Technology. During the summary of this year's activity, the TUL Student Government (January 28) officially announced the results of the competition for the academic year 2019/2020. At its first online meeting (29.01), the Council of Lodz University of Technology deliberated in a partially altered composition. As of January 1, 2021, it is chaired by dr inż. Mirosław Sopek - MakoLab Vice President for Technology, a graduate of Lodz University of Technology.

The new Council of Lodz University of Technology gathered at its first meeting. The TUL Senate elected the Council for the term lasting from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024, and it is chaired by Dr. Mirosław Sopek, founder and vice-president for technology of the MakoLab SA Board. Other Members of the Council are: dr inż. Tomasz Krysiński, Vice President for Development and Innovation of Airbus Helicopters, mgr inż. Dariusz Wojciech Szewczyk, President of the Board of Radio Łódź, and from the academic community of the university: prof. Andrzej Bartoszewicz, prof. Wojciech Wolf and dr hab. inż. Jacek Sawicki assoc. prof. Among the members of this body is also the president of the student government, Julia Chojnacka.

Lodz University of Technology, in cooperation with international partners, implements didactic projects related to the use of mixed reality, including virtual and augmented reality, in the educational process. Introducing the latest technologies to transfer knowledge and skills is a more engaging form of education for students.

In three projects financed under the Erasmus+ programme, consortium members from Croatia, Estonia, Portugal, Czech Republic and Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Łódź are working on didactic materials to support education in management, universal design and anatomy.
