The Academic Sports Gala was originally scheduled to take place in October at the Sports Bay of Lodz University of Technology. Due to the pandemic the plans were changed and this year's summary of the sporting competition took place online on Tuesday, 15 December. Lodz University of Technology once again stood on the podium in the medal classification.
In the first stage of the 67th Chemistry Competition, the students of the Public Secondary School of Lodz University of Technology got first place in Poland as a team.
Researchers from the Institute of Turbomachinery of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering together with the X-ray Crystallography and Crystallochemistry Team of the Faculty of Chemistry as well as the Pintech company are working on the solution.
Employees, doctoral candidates and students of Lodz University of Technology may receive additional remuneration for outstanding activity in their scientific work. The University has published regulations of incentive awards. The aim of this initiative is to strive for Lodz University of Technology gaining the status of a Research University. It will not be possible without, among others, a large number of widely cited publications and research projects carried out under prestigious grants.
Dr inż. Hubert Antolak, a young scientist from Lodz University of Technology, received a scientific award from the Division IV of Technical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences for his doctoral dissertation "Asaia spp. bacteria as a new contaminant of functional beverages" and 8 articles thematically related to this dissertation.
The MINIATURE competition, announced for the 4th time by the National Science Centre, has selected 178 winners. Eight scientists from Lodz University of Technology will receive grants. This is a success, because according to the published ranking list, only 31 projects from technical universities will receive funding. Therefore, we would all the more like to congratulate our scientists on the financial support for the preparation of a research project.

LIDER is a programme addressed to young scientists. Its objective is to increase the competence of young scientists in independent planning of research work and managing their own research team during implementation of research projects, the results of which may have practical applications and implementation potential. The amount of allocation in the competition is PLN 80 million, of which 10% is a reserve for appeals. The call for grant applications takes place between 18 January and 18 March 2021. (by 4:15 p.m.).
