Lodz University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (USUST) from Dnipro. The agreement was signed on Friday, January 16, in the Rector’s Office by Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, Rector of TUL, and Prof. Kostiantyn Sukhyi, Rector of USUST.

Lodz University of Technology (TUL) has begun cooperation with Longdong University, a public higher education institution from Gansu Province, China. The university is actively involved in the international “Belt and Road Initiative”. Its activities focus on the development of academic exchange, joint research projects, and the transfer of knowledge and technology between universities in different countries.

During the December Top1000 Science & Technology Expedition to Silicon Valley mission, scientists and innovators from Lodz University of Technology presented their most promising technologies in the United States. On 1 December 2025, a seminar ‘Engineering for Security: Universities and Industry in Service of Defence’ was held in Brussels, organised by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation, the National Centre for Research and Development, and Business & Science Poland, in cooperation with European technical universities and representatives of the defence sector. The event was attended by the rector of the Łódź University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik.

Lodz University of Technology ranked 7th in Poland and 121st in Europe in the latest edition of EngiRank 2025 – the European Ranking of Engineering Studies, announced on December 1 in Brussels. The ranking covers 300 higher education institutions from 36 countries – including 21 Polish technical universities – and is based entirely on external data concerning the quality of research, cooperation with industry, patent activity, and participation in European programmes.

From 1 to 5 December 2025, our university will welcome the first edition of the ECIU Student Leadership Development Programme—an integration- and training-focused event dedicated to ECIU Student Ambassadors from all partner universities of the consortium.
