Lodz University of Technology will host the ECIU Board in September. This important event will bring together representatives of 12 European universities and 1 from Mexico involved in joint activities for innovative education, scientific research and solving global social challenges.

Lodz University of Technology has secured over PLN 2.1 million in funding under the OPUS 28 + LAP scheme from the National Science Centre (NCN) to implement the project “NIR-CURATOR”, focused on implant-associated infections. The project will be carried out in collaboration with researchers from the Czech Republic.
Dr Magdalena Gajek from the Institute of General and Environmental Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry at TUL, has been awarded the Prize of the Committee of Analytical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the best doctoral dissertation in analytical chemistry in Poland. Her thesis was awarded the prestigious MS Spectrum Award, given for outstanding achievements in spectrometry.
Road logistics is a branch of the economy that is particularly sensitive to fluctuations in fuel prices, environmental rigours and market pressures. In this context, innovations that combine operational efficiency with climate responsibility are gaining in importance. For just such a project, Dr Radosław Gajewski from the Faculty of Organisation and Management received the 2024 Award of the Polish Logistics Association.

Students from the Kollaps Research Club of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences took part in the prestigious Mouillette d'Argent perfume competition. This year's edition was centred around the aroma of rockrose (Cistus). In the picturesque gardens of Barcelona, not only did the scents of this Mediterranean plant melt away, but the excitement of young perfume creators from all over the world could also be felt.
