Lodz University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU). The document signing ceremony took place on March 12, 2026, in Hong Kong. Lodz University of Technology was represented by Prof. Paweł Strumiłło, who attended the event on behalf of the university rector. From HKMU's side, Vice President for Strategic Initiatives Prof. Alan Au and Prof. Roy Vellaisamy from the School of Science and Technology were present.

Among the winners of the 6th edition of the “Student Research Clubs Create Innovations” programme were three clubs from Lodz University of Technology, which will be carrying out their projects over the next 12 months.
