As part of the NCBR LIDER program, Katarzyna Piasecka, PhD from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is developing a non-invasive diagnostic system. Thanks to its precision—at a level expected by specialists—it has the potential to revolutionize how knee joint damage is detected.

Lodz University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU). The document signing ceremony took place on March 12, 2026, in Hong Kong. Lodz University of Technology was represented by Prof. Paweł Strumiłło, who attended the event on behalf of the university rector. From HKMU's side, Vice President for Strategic Initiatives Prof. Alan Au and Prof. Roy Vellaisamy from the School of Science and Technology were present.
