The Faculty of Chemistry has received more than PLN 13.8 million from European Funds to establish the modern Laboratory of Innovative Chemistry and Chemical Technologies (LICHTCH). The total value of the project exceeds PLN 21 million. The new research infrastructure is intended to support the development of innovative technologies and cooperation between science and businesses from the Łódź region.
In September, representatives of the Lodz University of Technology joined partners of the Alliance for Community Engagement in European Higher Education (ACE) in Tartu, Estonia, for a series of important project activities hosted by the University of Tartu. The two-day meeting and the official launch of the ACE Alliance marked significant milestones in the project's mission to strengthen cooperation between universities and their communities.
On 15 September 2026, Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, Rector of Lodz University of Technology, signed an agreement to establish the Centre for the Implementation of Artificial Intelligence in Automation and Robotics (CESAR).

CySec4Her aims to break down this barrier – an international project supporting the development of women in cybersecurity, coordinated by the Voxel Research Lab at the Institute of Mechatronics and Information Systems of Lodz University of Technology.
