Research achievements
Prof. Agnieszka Zakrzewska-Bielawska, PhD, DSc, Eng., is a recognised specialist in the field of strategic management, whose research focuses on the relational conditions of enterprise transformation towards sustainable development, circular economy, and energy transition. Her most significant scientific achievements between 2020 and 2025 include the empirical verification of an extended model of consumer values, explaining buyer behaviour towards photovoltaic installations. These studies allowed for the identification of key determinants of consumer decisions, and their results were utilised by the European Commission in work on the energy labelling system for photovoltaic modules, which confirms their high applicative dimension and international scientific significance.
Research profile and interests
The Professor's main research interests include strategic management, with a particular focus on relational strategies, coopetition, and organisational ambidexterity. In her work, she also explores issues of interorganisational cooperation and innovation ecosystems, while developing concepts of knowledge commercialisation and valorisation in the context of the university's third mission. Currently, Prof. Zakrzewska-Bielawska leads an NCN project titled "The university's third mission – from commercialisation to knowledge valorisation," within which she identifies mechanisms and tools that increase the impact of research results on innovations supporting sustainable development and energy transition.
Industrial cooperation and expert activity
Prof. Zakrzewska-Bielawska's scientific activity acts as a significant bridge between science and economic practice, as evidenced by her leadership of projects carried out in cooperation with the socio-economic environment, including the Marshal's Office of the Łódź Voivodeship. The results of her work on knowledge valorisation have been recognised at the European level, an example of which is the inclusion of a film on best practices developed by her on the European Commission's Knowledge Valorisation Platform. The Professor is an active participant in scientific life, serving as the Chair of the Committee on Organisation and Management Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) for the 2024–2027 term and working in the Advisory Team of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for the "Excellent Science" programme. Furthermore, as an expert and reviewer, she collaborates with prestigious international organisations and renowned journals in the field of management.
